How do I account for VAT taxes collected on my eBay sales?
When selling on eBay you have the ability to assign a VAT % (vat_percent) to your listings. However, eBay will not itemize out the VAT taxes collected from the sale total.
Commerce can solve this problem using a feature called VAT Transform. VAT transforms, when applied to your data, will transform the transaction by applying the appropriate VAT rate, creating a VAT tax line item within the transaction. When exporting the transaction to an accounting program, you can now easily categorize the VAT taxes.
