Connect Your Account

Connect your WooCommerce account to Commerce using the following steps:

  • Log in to your Commerce account

  • Go to Connect an account > Sales > WooCommerce > Connect +

  • Enter your WooCommerce shop URL into Commerce’s Shop URL field

  • Click Connect

If you are not already logged into your WooCommerce store, you are then prompted to log in with your credentials. This authenticates the connection between Commerce and WooCommerce. You are then redirected to Commerce where your most recent transactions begin to sync.

Having trouble connecting? It is possible to access your storefront while still failing to connect through Dext Commerce. If this is the case, it is likely that you have User-level permissions in WooCommerce. This is sometimes denoted with a “Certificate Expired” error. Ensure that you are using a WooCommerce login with Admin-level permissions in order to establish the connection between Dext Commerce and WooCommerce.

If the issue still persists, be sure to sign out of WooCommerce in your browser as Dext Commerce will prompt you to login again during the connection process.

Supported Regions

Commerce currently supports all regions in which Shopify operates.

Additional Info

Multi-currency Support

Selling all over the world certainly has its perks, but comes with complications as well. Commerce has customized solutions that remove some of the complications that come with global sales. Limit your accounting efforts while broadening your WooCommerce customer base with custom mappings. Connected 3rd party payment provider payments can be mapped by currency, which makes reconciliation in your preferred settlement currency a breeze.

Duplicate Transactions

Let Commerce manage your duplicate transactions before they ever make it to your accounting file. Using a 3rd party payment provider with WooCommerce can add a layer of complexity when it comes time to balance your books. Linking balances between WooCommerce and your payment provider(s) creates additional work when accounting for taxes, fees, refunds, etc. Not to mention the difficulty of exchange rates if you accept multiple currencies. At your request, Commerce transforms your data for ease of use while keeping all the original sales and payment data in app.
